The Aiken Community Band

The Aiken Community Band is a non-profit organization created to promote and to offer the citizens of Aiken and the Central Savannah River Area opportunities for musical entertainment and enjoyment.  We now have a membership of over 85 persons.  Membership is available to anyone interested in music and having experience with a band instrument. Auditions are not required for membership.

 

Aiken’s concert band has been in existence for over 20 years and has developed into a fine musical group.  The band is conducted by Conductor Colonel Gary Lamb, and Associate Director Ms. Lauren Meccia, the Director of Bands at The University of South Carolina-Aiken Mr. William Foss serves as chief arranger/associate conductor contributing significantly to the band's repertoire.

Rehearsals:

Rehearsals are held on Tuesday nights at 7:30-9:00 pm in room 125 of the Etherredge Center, on the University of South Carolina at Aiken campus.
